Go math k-8
“Take up the guzh, don’t say you’re not a dozh”, says a Go math k-8 folk proverb. If a young man has decided to get a higher education, he should be ready to be engaged in research activities. This work involves writing scientific articles.
Why should one be engaged in writing articles?
Information, technologies in any field of activity have properties to change and become outdated. If you want to become a professional and an excellent specialist, you will have to constantly learn, master new technologies, process current information to use it effectively in your work. The number of scientific facts doubles every ten years, so today’s students will need to learn throughout their lives. Knowing modern, industry-specific information, skilfully analyzing it, using it in and on the basis of work, creating a new one – this is the task of an employee of any level. This is already a field of scientific activity.
In the course of research activity you will master scientific methods of cognition, these are necessary skills and abilities of an educated person.
A research paper requires an exchange of experience and knowledge with other students and scientists. Continued collaboration with experts will broaden your knowledge and encourage creativity.
If you plan to write a dissertation, this work will be preceded by articles in academic publications.
If a novice student listens to the following advice, he or she will enjoy his or her research work, will be able to avoid many mistakes and will save time on writing the article.
You should start by setting a goal. The goal is a conscious image of anticipated result. You should see in your field a contradiction, a problem that you plan to solve. You will need to formulate a hypothesis and see the desired result. For example, you saw a contradiction – there is a lot of volcanic materials in Kamchatka, but there is not enough cheap building material. You, as a scientist, set a goal – to develop technology to create bricks from the remnants of volcanic activity. Keep in mind that the topic of your work must be relevant and that the new knowledge you have gained must be useful to people. In the introduction, you will need to justify its relevance.
Before you start your research career, you will study research methods. Empirical research methods include: experiment, observation, measurement, comparison, description. At a higher theoretical level, you will use methods of modeling, idealization, analogies, abstraction, and others.
To find a solution to a problem, you should study all the information on the topic, everything that was written before your article. You should also use scientific books and research journals that will provide you with verified information. Remember to make references to sources and notes about them. Later in the introduction you will need to write an overview of all the sources and literature you have used. Making a common core math example list of literature is a requirement for every scientific work.
You should now do your research using methods that are appropriate for your topic. Science is a creative activity whose main task is to gain new knowledge. In the course of your research you should not repeat someone else’s experiments, but get new facts. Keep in mind that the true knowledge is what is true. Practice is the main criterion of truth. To get reliable knowledge you need to use not one, but many methods of research.
Now it is necessary to substantiate and systematize new information. In the course of painstaking work you will create a large number of folders, collect a lot of facts, and all this will need to be brought into the system. By certain criteria you will categorize all the information into groups and put them in a clear order. The order will be based on either the chronology, or the theme, or the method or significance of the fact. Keep in mind that all information should solve your main problem. Minor, unnecessary files should be removed, keeping in mind the rule of “Short is the sister of talent!
When you have studied the topic you will still have the most important thing in the article – to formulate an introduction and conclusions. It is in this part of the article that the main points of the work should be clear, clear and concise. The introduction explains the topicality of the topic, poses the problem, analyzes the degree of its study and reviews the published literature. The conclusion should reflect the results of the work, the findings of the research, and the prospects for development of the problem. The topic of the work should correspond to the goals, title, content and conclusions.
